Still White Website review

Stillwhite.com has been helping brides source gowns that either were too expensive brand new, or they need it in a time crunch. It has been an amazing tool for specific brides with unique situations. But lets speak on some downfalls of the site, and the good side.

1,) THE SELLERS: Basically anyone can slap a picture on there, put a price and hopefully some unassuming bride will buy their dress. Well some sellers are honest and truly need their dress out of their closet. Some price gauge, hoping a bride is desperate enough for that Made With Love size 10 never been worn. I get it, you know you have a sought after gown, but by no means should you be making almost exactly what you paid. It simply doesnt work that way. BUT, hey, if you sell it. Than jokes on me right? I am just here to educate brides on what’s up, and to do your reseach before hand.

Speak to seller a few times, ask for additional pictures of the dress. Maybe even time stamped pictures.

I had this specific bride that comes to mind that bought a dress and when it arrived it was an older version of the style she wanted. That specific designer changed the fabric over the years. That one specific fact the seller left out wasted two weeks of her time, 3 more visits with me, and ultimately she did get her refund (best case scenario) and she purchased the correct dress off of StillWhite.

2,) BRIDES: Know the dress you are looking for. Know the designer? Good, look them up. Know the style? GREAT, do some research on what the full retail price was. Desperate anyway and don’t care about this advice? Fantastic, you’ll look beautiful.

3,) Should you go to a bridal salon and get the experience fully knowing you will buy it off Still White? Ehhhh…if you must? Idk. Very torn on this. Every bride should get the experience they deserve for their wedding day.

If you must, go to a bridal store during their slow times, which would be during the week. PAY the appointment fee. Tip your consultant. And don’t take up more then the alotted time for your appointment.

In the end, StillWhite is a great resource for brides and stores. The concept itself is a genius idea. Their dedicati9on to sustainability and the message to reuse and hand down is one I can get behind. Most of the gowns have not been worn, some are discontinued gems. StillWhite serves a purpose and allows those wedding dresses to not be forgotten, or end up in the graveyard that is Facebook Marketplace.
